The reason I am selling is because I purchased another car and can´t keep them all. I picked up the MINI from the dealer with only 4 miles on it. It is a very fun car to drive, and surprisingly great in winter with a set of Blizzaks. There is not another car out there that drives like a MINI and this one certainly gets the looks too. It handles like a go-kart, easily gets through traffic and is easy to park. I had the windows & sunroof tinted professionally with the top grade ceramic tint only a week after I took delivery of the car, as well as had the paint protection film applied to the hood and mirrors. I have only had it serviced at MINI dealerships and have the full service history. I drive a lot of miles, but almost all highway. The turbocharged 172hp, completely stock engine is peppy and surprisingly quick for a 1.6L 4-cylinder engine. When on the freeway, I average about 34mpg. On the back roads, I have averaged as much as 41mpg on a tank. With the maintenance package, you never have to pay for regular maintenance (through 100k miles), which is an awesome perk with the rising cost of oil.If you have researched these cars, you will know the high pressure fuel pumps and timing chains are weak points. The fuel pump was replaced early in the life of this car, and has a 120k warranty on it from BMW/MINI. The timing chain was also replaced recently when it caused a guide to break- all covered by the warranty. All work has been done by the MINI dealers in WI, MN, & IL. From searching, this appears to be a fairly rare car, as it has not been modified with any after-market parts but has almost all the factory options (More options than my BMWs).I have hundreds of pictures of the car, so please email if you need any more pictures. I´ve had an overwhelming amount of emails come through about it and instead of answering each one individually, I figured I´d answer all questions in a new post.This is a 2005 Mini Cooper S. The car has 96,000 miles on it. Supercharged 6 speed manual transmission. The car is a dark grey color and has black pinstripes on the hood. GREAT on gas. The reason I´m selling is to get something bigger due to the fact that I travel alot and need to carry more than I can fit in this car. The inside is mostly dark interior and there are a few bumps and knicks on armrests and sides. It was in a fender bender a few years back, and had the back bumper and hatchback replaced. Very well maintained vehicle as far as oil changes and filters being changed. CD player with controls in the steering wheel. The alloys could be in better condition but they do have some knicks on them as well. Here´s some questions people have asked with answers.1. Is it manual or automatic? Manual.2. Tinted windows? No. It had tinted windows when I bought it, but they were too dark and the police didn´t seem to like that. I took the tint off after I was ticketed for it and just never got the windows re-tinted. The two back windows and rear window are tinted. The two front are not. 3. Does it have the moonroof? Yes. It has one big moon roof in the front which opens all the way and it has a smaller one in back that does not open.4. Do I have maintenance records? No. I did most of the maintenance myself and didn´t keep any records on it. However the oil is always changed before 15,000 along with the air filter. Also, it has all new pads, and BRAND NEW rear rotors and caliper.5. Has the supercharger oil ever been changed? No. 6. Does it have leather seats? No. The seats are cloth and they´re not powered either. (There is a small broken seam in the front drivers seat that I plan on taking care of before selling, UNLESS the buyer wants to take care of it and take a few bucks off). The seats are quite attractive though even though they´re not leather.7. Any cosmetic flaws? Yes. There is a little bit of clear coat peeling off of the replaced hatchback. Again, I plan on taking care of this before it sells UNLESS the buyer wants to take care of it and knock a few bucks off. That, and the seam in the front drivers seat.8. Mechanical problems? There IS a very slow coolant leak. I plan on getting it pressure checked to see exactly what the problem is. It´s been that way for a little bit, but it´s such a small leak that I usually just top it off every now and then. 9. How is the clutch? The clutch is just fine. 10. How are the tires? They´re not new, but they´re not on their death bed either. They should still last a bit.11. Is the title clean? Yes.12. Hatchback or convertible? Hatchback. Details: I have been living in Chicago and LOVED my MINI!! There is no other car I would own there, however now I have to move home to MI and need a car for constant work travel with room for more junk in the trunk. If you've always wanted a MINI this is a great opportunity because the weather if finally nice and the sunroof is a blast to have open while crusing around the city. I have had this car for a little over 2 years but didn't drive it in the winter and left it in the garage to keep "Sheldon" safe from the elements. Also, if you don't know how to drive a stickshift but must drive a MINI then you really need to learn. The automatics have never shifted smoothly in my opinion and stick is the ONLY way to go when you truely want the go-cart handling & pep MINI's are known for. Mirror covers are currently Chrome, but I also have the Union Jacks that you will get - they are also shown in one picture below when I first bought the car. Interior is black and has heated seats & mirrors, a sunroof, and auxiliary 3.5 jack I had installed for my Android or ipod. Looking to sell by May 30th at the latest. Details: Great car! 1.6L I4 16V MPFI SOHC Supercharged - Zoom! I have had it well over 100mphand it still had plenty more left.Paint is British Racing Green with a custom silver rally stripe which is on the hatch as well.The stripe is paint, not the standard tape kit from Mini. Interior is the anthracite with gray leather,although it´s ten years old. There´s a significant wear spot on the drivers seat. I´m told you can replace the leather seat cover. This includes the sport package, and has the full double sunroof,black mirrors, and I´m sure I´m forgetting something.I do have the cover for both of the rally lights, it was just off at the time the picture was taken forsome reason. There is nothing major mechanically wrong with this car. Still on the first Supercharger,first clutch with no slips or roughness. I do not have the standard run-flat tires. I hate them. There´s a set of summer tires as wellas a full set of snow tires, both on their own alloy rims. I keep a fix-a-flat kit in the car witha mini air pump. This car is a zippy little sports car, and I prefer the feel of regular tires indriving. Both sets of tires have only seen two seasons and are 75% or better.This car was garage-kept until 2008, but has been winter-driven. The paint is still beautifulwith a few minor dings, and one rust spot.
