Details: Mayfair Edition. Silver, 998cc engine, runs great and is very quiet at idle. Super low mileage 47,000, was owned by an elder couple from new, then recently a college student who put 10,000 miles on it. I rolled it out of the container and drove 941 miles in 24 hours without a problem. Just drove it down to Baltimore and back last weekend in April, no problem. Drove it when it was super cold for that 1 week this winter, no problem. Not much needs to be done to it other than freshening the paint where it is bubbling. These are extremely customizeable cars with so many after market parts available. Easy to convert RHD to LHD, or fun the way it is. Service records going back to 2003 which are very detailed and if you know how strict the British MOT (inspection) is, you know the car must be solid. No major issues or rust, but some touch ups can be done. I guess tires should be replaced. Looks like original paint, not 100% of this, but it sure does shine. I just got it so, I can take more photos and make a pdf of the service records. Will also photo spots where paint is starting to bubble. This is a really good daily driving mini at a fair price, I cannot imagine finding a better one for a lower price with such low mileage. FYI - Contrary to what most Americans think, not all old Minis are Coopers, just like NOT ALL Mustangs are Shelbys. You need to tow it to where it will be repaired. -needs new tires -- basic, good old-fashioned driving the rubber off. No burn outs, drifting, doughnuts, etc.-84,100 miles on the clock. It´s NOT new. It´s not older than dirt either.-I´m the second owner. It´s not bad (I think) that I´m specifically the second owner, as much as that is just a fact that I owned it after someone else. I bought it from a used car place that provided the Carfax on it.Pros:-automatic climate control -- thought this was just the coolest thing! See what I did there with the pun? That won´t cost you anything extra, please don´t hold it against the car...-key-less entry-Harmon Kardon sound system-power windows-power sliding sun roof-power steering-steering wheel controls-cruise control-integrated bluetooth-heated seats-leather seats-power mirrors-5 speed standard trans.-auxiliary plug for plugging in phones, mp3 players, etc.-new clutch done recently -- I´ll look it up to be specific if it matters, but it was within a year-16´´ alloy wheels-royal gray color (with racing stripes) -- I´m told this is nifty because they stopped painting Coopers this color with this year. You want this color, you buy used or get a Clubman. I just love the color for being what it is.-trip computer-rear spoiler-fog lamps-variable intermittent wipers -- I was sitting there at a stop in the rain (yeah, because really, who´d have them on when it wasn´t raining -- although, I DO have a young child who likes to leave things NOT as he found them! I digress...), years after I bought the car, and noticed the wipers actually slowed down when it wasn´t moving. It´s a simple thing, but I liked it a lot. Yet another way where the car was more elegant than anything I´ve ever owned.-Dynamic Stability Control -- BOY does this work. This car NEVER faltered in rain or snow (dry conditions, well c´mon...every car SHOULD be safe there!).-mini floor mats -- actually had to buy those! So weird that that would ever be the case these days!!-never been crashed, mangled, or in anyway beaten up-non-smokerSo here´s the way I see it...Likely anyone who´s interested in this car has to know what they´re doing to get it ready to go, or know someone who does. We can haggle over this, and if so, let´s start the haggling at $10K. I mean, why not make it fun, right? You suggest something obscenely low because you want to make more off it, then I look shocked that you want the former car of my dreams for such a pittance, and I suggest something mildly better than the original unrealistically high asking price. Somehow, you´ll trust me and the sale better, having gotten the opportunity to wrangle the price down to what you and I both know it should be. But if we don´t do the dance, it´s just weird somehow. I´ve never been one to follow the sales rules, and am thus gonna work to make this as easy as possible. It needs to be an equitable process for all involved. I need to pay off the car (yeah, REAL bummer that, right?). You want to drive it for nothing, or buy it for nothing and sell it for a lot. I looked it up. It´s $8,156 if you´re a private buyer, and $7,026 if you´re a dealer. I typed in all the features, and the site said it was ´rough´ which accounts for the ´major mechanical need, and some reconditioning (though, it´s pretty sweet inside). Let´s call it $8,000 and $7,000 respectively. In fact, I don´t care if you´re a dealer or not. I´ll go you one further. You want the car, flat out $7,000. There have been only 2 owners and the interior, exterior, and mechanics are all in near perfect condition.The 2000 Mini Seven was one of the last minis to be manufactured before the assembly plant shut down to produce the new larger body style minis. The interior of the car was designed to match the original 1959 Mini Seven, but has been tastefully modernized with an original CD player, sound system, air bags, and fog lights. (the previous owner was a middle aged woman who used it as her commuter from new until i purchased it)under original owner car serviced under warranty by Mini/BMW.Since I have owned the car i have done some minor maintenance/ upgrades to the car including:Oil changed every 5,000mi with Mobil 1 5w30Spark plugs done at 175,000- NGK platinum plugs with bosch wires.Front Wheel Bearings replaced @ 170,000All suspension bushings upgraded with PowerFlex polyurethane bushings @ 170,000 (rides like a ROCK)Carbon fiber Mirror Covers I just put on this month look GREAT!I have a few other parts for the car I will include but havent yet gotten a chance to install.-17% reduced supercharger pulley- increases boost from the charger and adds 40hp to the wheels. (i bought this and never had the time to install... i was told this paired with an intake makes the charger scream and wakes the car right up!)-valvecover and oil pan gaskets-some brake upgrades-mini magazines and some other odds and ends (extra oil filter, etc, etc.)Coming from a 400whp Audi S4, I didnt think this Mini could really hold my interest, but BOY WAS I WRONG! cornering in this car is a DREAM. It grabs on and doesnt let go. I could take corners in this car unlike my audi with ohlins. This car is a no joke track car if you are willing to put the time in installing the pulley and getting some wide tires to make it put the power down. accelerating in this is a dream as well. you hear the charger whine as the boost kicks in and you GOOO!
